  • It wasn’t long ago that we were treated to the scene of G20 leaders posing for photographs in front of Osaka Castle.Today, we are presenting a new appeal of Osaka, in the form of night events named “Sakuyalumina” allowing you to experience cutting-edge digital art in the park surrounding Osaka Castle.

  • Osaka will be hosting its second World Expo in 2025, leading to the further development of our city.

  • Osaka is stereotypically known for its comedy, the Tsutenkaku Tower, and its gourmet scene, but it is actually a far more diverse city than that.

  • To the north, the large-scale “Umekita” development project is progressing in the area around Osaka station, and to the south the Dotonbori district has become a center for Osaka tourism, particularly popular with visitors from overseas. Other popular areas include Fukushima, a district where old homes are being converted into stylish restaurants and bars, and Kitakagaya, which is being reborn as a center for the arts. Of course, the spirit of old Osaka remains alive and well in the city’s numerous shopping arcades and back alleys.
